Community

I found this guy's blog randomly. Well, actually, Jeramie found this guy's blog. He mentioned beard core in a post. Beard core was something mentioned at Isn't She Beautiful?, the conference I attended last week. For more on the conference, check out Jasen Ashdown's blog.

So, I added this blog to my feeds, and recently he posted a video that he had made. I'm no movie critic. So, I can't comment on the footage, but the message was pretty good. I just thought I would share it.

Peace.

Hmmm... should I be worried about this relationship being taken "to a whole new level"? I hear that Corey and Jason are already dating... haha...

Corey, I'm excited that you guys are moving to Raleigh! We have an awesome community here, and I'm sure that we will have much fun together. Even if you are dating my husband.

kim, you are too funny. i actually wondered if you would be worried about me asking for your husband's number.

at first i put what's your number, baby, but I thought Jason might get jealous

we can't wait to get there and be a part of what God is doing with you guys. thanks for all of your commitment to follow Christ into the unknown.

is there some sort of sick inbred family relationship going on here? seriously lets think about this. shannon you are matt rowe's adopted father who is married to the former traci paxton who is the sister of one corey paxton (i think that's a safe assumption) who you are now "dating." yeah okay, so you are dating your adopted daughter-in-law's brother?

and you guys think i'm the crazy one?

the responsible son

on another note, i think i'm in town this weekend to look at houses. crazy.

Corey, Jason probably would get jealous... so it's better that you didn't throw that question about Shannon's number in there.

Patrick, as long as you aren't part of the "inbreeding" - be thankful. :) Good luck with house-hunting this weekend! I'm glad that you will be back in Raleigh. Maybe you can fulfill your big brother babysitting duties over the summer... haha

P.S. - Blogs are cool.

who is this patrick person?

thanks for filling me in that shannon is actually my brother-n-laws daddy. i was wondering about that, and it's get to know that we are related before we get into a relationship. you are funny whoever you are.

i agree with kim about the blog thing too

Dear Corey:

Patrick refers to Patrick Allen, a good friend of ours and former roommate. Patrick lived with me, Shannon, and Matt Rowe for a period of time before Shannon and I got married. We used to cook meals and the boys would sometimes eat with us, so Patrick and Matt started calling us "Mom" and "Dad" and we would call them our sons. It's an inside joke of sorts. :)

we probably shouldn't remind matt that shannon is his daddy. i'm not sure how he'd take that these days. i think mrs. rowe has imparted a bit of spunk to him!

thanks for the well wishes about house hunting kim! definitely looking forward to moving back home to raleigh!

corey - look forward to meeting you when y'all get to raleigh!

This is quite the interesting dialog. I'm glad my blog can serve as a medium for new friendships to develop and for old friends to stay in touch with no regard to the content of my posts.

I thought about making the talking joke, but refrained. I guess it turned out to be a pretty good one.

Corey, I'll email you my number. I don't want to post it on here. You know how crazy fans can be. If I put it on here, my phone will never stop ringing.
